Teamspeaking specializes on the hosting of voiceservers. Currently we offer ventrilo and teamspeak hosting to our clients.

While both programs share many similar features there are also some important differences though.
In the end wich program you prefer to use comes down to personal preference.

Teamspeak

Teamspeak has the advantage of having a very easy to navigate layout, it also offers simple and more extensive channel and user management. Teamspeak has the option to set individual rights for users. Channel administrators can be assigned for cross channel communication (ideal for bigger servers).

The downside of Teamspeak is that it uses up slightly more system resources compared to ventrilo and for some people the ventrilo sound quality is a bit better.

Ventrilo

Ventrilo has the advantage of having a very simple, minimalistic layout. Ventrilo offers a text to speech option wich is great if there are some people that don't have a microphone. Ventrilo uses slightly less resources than teamspeak.

The downside is that there are no user accounts, you are either an admin or not. There is also no build in webadmin panel to administer your voiceserver, Teamspeaking fixed this by writing a small controlpanel that can be used to manage basic voiceserver functions.

As mentioned before, in the end it's a matter of personal preference. Try both programs and pick the one that you like the most
